Michael had been the Vice President of Marketing and Contracts at Dolphin Drilling since February 2022 and stepped into his new role of Chief Commercial Officer in February 2025, having held other roles at the Company including VP of Supply Chain and before that Rig Manager. In his current role, Michael oversees global marketing efforts, contract management, and business development strategies and works closely with the CEO, leading initiatives that drive business growth and improve contract negotiations, positioning the company as a competitive force in the industry.
With over 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, Michael has a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects, negotiating contracts and driving cost reductions. Prior to joining Dolphin Drilling, he had several managerial roles at Halliburton, ranging from Repair and Maintenance, Field Engineer, Business Development and Account Management.
Alongside his role at Dolphin, Michael has taken on the responsibility of the IADC Chair for the North Sea Chapter for 2025.
Michael holds a Master of Business Administration from The Open University and a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Aberdeen.
